Briquette is a high caloric solid fuel that replaces firewood and oil fuel, and wich uses lignocelluloses biomass of Forest origin as its raw material.

In the productive process, densification of residues from forest materials and by-products is made by the briquetting process, wich consists of high pressure mechanical sawdust compaction. Such a compaction rises the temperature, producing lignin plasticization, a substance that acts as bonding element wich holds wood fibers together, without requiring the use of chemical bonder.
